The Cadillac Motel

I'm homeless, and the problems I've had at other motels have mostly been disrespectful employees. The issues here are ten times worse. I've only been here three days, and now I understand why almost every review is negative. At other places, rooms can be cleaned safely without anyone needing to meet face to face. Here, you're expected to clean your own room. I've never seen that, even at rundown one-star hotels, and it's messed up, especially since most people here are homeless with nowhere to go. They give an emergency number and a backup number, but nobody answers either one. If you have a lot of power in Vermont, please help the homeless people at this motel. I have plenty more to say, but this should be enough.

The beds were really comfortable, and everything was clean. The woman who helped me by phone was so kind and helpful. She explained how to get the key and sent directions by email in case we checked in very late. We liked our stay and would definitely recommend it. Just keep in mind you're in Vermont, so you won't get a Hilton unless you book the overpriced place.

Rhonda the Manager is such a standout. She’s kind, resourceful, and the reason this stay was worth writing about.

The room was small but very clean, and the night was fine until the morning shower. Hot water took ages to arrive, and meanwhile the shower filled with freezing water that wouldn't drain. The sink wouldn't drain either. We stayed on a Saturday, and apparently the staff leave at 8 p.m. and the place is closed Sundays, so there was no one to reach and we had to leave the key in a locked box. In my opinion, it was overpriced: a $97 room that was only worth $60.
