Holiday Inn Express St. Augustine - Vilano Beach by IHG

We had an impeccably clean, spacious room with a very large balcony, and I appreciated how much care went into the details and service. The staff I spoke with, including the owner and his sister, were all warm and hospitable. Breakfast was awesome, with freshly ground coffee, and a nice woman came around each morning offering fresh fruit. The indoor pool was heated and lovely to use when the weather outside wasn’t great. I’d happily return with my family if we’re in the area again. Highly recommend!

Breakfast was amazing, and the owner/operator was in the dining area each morning, serving people and making everyone feel welcome and comfortable. He was doing it because that’s who he is, not because they were short-staffed. He even made paper airplanes for the kids. The people were super nice, the service outstanding, and the stay was very comfortable. I can’t say enough good things about the weekend. I felt amazed and blessed to be part of such a wonderful experience.

We booked the suite and had loads of room: a separate bedroom with a door, two beds, a pullout couch in the other room, and a mini kitchen with a refrigerator and freezer. There’s an indoor pool, too. The breakfast had so many choices, even Danimal smoothies and GoGurts for the kids, and it was amazing. The hotel was super clean, and everyone on staff was extremely friendly. I loved seeing the owner working in the breakfast area every day. He was so kind and nice, and it’s rare to see a hotel owner there daily. This is the best hotel we’ve stayed at, and we’ve stayed at SO many. We’ll be back soon!

There were wagons by the lobby stocked with things guests can use for the beach, just steps from the front door. Coffee and tea were available all day and night, the breakfast options were great, and team members, including the owner, walked around offering sliced fruit, fruit cups, and muffins fresh from the oven. Our room was really spacious. The staff seemed genuinely invested in making our visit good. Rob handled both check-in and checkout, and was friendly and informative without seeming forced. I’ve stayed at Holiday Inn Express before, but this location’s service stands out. We’ll definitely return.
