Knights Inn Saint Augustine I-95

My family got bitten by fleas, and the room was very dirty and smelled of animals. They charge for everything, even ice and a coffee pot. We'd booked a ground-floor nonsmoking room online, and I called a few weeks ahead to confirm. I was told everything was fine, but when we arrived, we were assigned an upstairs room. After I complained, they moved us to a ground-floor smoking room. The owners and managers are a joke and don't seem to care. It's a good location for a sorry hotel.

The room was nasty, and the staff were rude. A couple of bagels and packaged pastries don't make much of a continental breakfast. The woman behind the desk gave my family and me disapproving looks while we ate, too. I wouldn't go near the pool unless I watched them clean it. Bleh.

The sheets were torn and dirty, and the whole place felt worn out, smelled bad, and wasn't clean. The old bed was uncomfortable, and the air conditioning couldn't keep the room cool, so we were sweating. It was a letdown on our vacation, and we left earlier than planned.

I had a great stay, and the staff were really accommodating. The pool was HUGE, definitely nice and very clean. I'm not sure what anyone else is talking about. I'll definitely stay here again.
