Koa St. Augustine Beach Campground

A busy campground, but it was laid out well and kept up nicely. The dogs and I loved walking the path, and I really liked the pond. The bathrooms were clean, the staff were very nice, and it looked like improvements were underway.

We’ve now joined KOA after trying this campground, and we’ll earn points and get 10% off future stays with the membership. We were impressed by how clean the grounds and bathrooms were. The original bathroom is older, but it was still clean, and there’s also a newer, modern bathroom in the middle of the park. The employees were great, from the woman who checked us in to the man who escorted us to our site. The maintenance crew kept busy trimming trees, mowing, blowing leaves, and cleaning the pool so everything met KOA standards. We’re 1000 trail members and took a four-month trip from Florida to Canada and back, staying at 1000 trails and private RV resorts along the way. Since we were back in our home state, we decided to try Campgrounds of America. We were pleasantly surprised. This place is far better than any 1000 trails we’ve visited, and it’s in a perfect spot, 3 miles from the city and half a mile from the beach. Thanks again, K away, for giving us a great taste of KOA after 1000 trails left us bitter.

Daniella, Ivory and the rest of the park team always go the extra mile to keep our stay safe, comfortable, and fun. You can tell they love their work. The location has everything we enjoy, from beach and parks to history, art, museums, architecture, sunsets, hiking, and biking, plus fine and casual dining in a friendly, safe setting. We’d love to live here! Congratulations to the owners for keeping such a great place.

The sites are close together, which was the only downside for us. Otherwise, it was easy to get in and out of the KOA, and the spot is close to beaches and restaurants. It’s dog friendly, the bathrooms and showers were clean, and the staff were helpful and friendly.
