The rooms were clean and the staff respectful. For incidentals, they only put a hold on a credit card and don't charge it unless there's an incident, which is nice. The laundry room has two washers and two dryers, $2 each, quarters only. It would be more convenient if the fitness room were open 24/7, but it's in the pool area, which closes at 11pm, so you can't get in then. Hope this helps.

The room was a good value, the front desk employee was kind and helpful, and the lobby and dining area were clean. Still, I can't recommend staying here. The building was very old, the room smelled mildewy, and there was mold in both the shower and sink. We were traveling with our two dogs and were put on a pet floor, which was fine, but the beds were covered in human hair and pet fur. It was on the comforters, pillowcases, and every sheet layer, so it looked like the bedding hadn't been changed. The floor also had bits of dog food. We asked for another room, but both beds there had hair through the sheets too. We asked the front desk for clean sheets and changed them ourselves. When we took off the pillowcases, the pillows were covered in hair and fur. I know pets can make a room dirtier, but I've stayed in pet-friendly places for years and never seen anything like this. It seems like they put pets on one floor and may clean those rooms to a lower standard.

Paya was courteous and kind, and found us a room away from the elevator like we needed. The breakfast was good and the service was nice. It's very close to the highway, so I'd recommend it for travel. The room had a slight musty smell, but it was tolerable for the price.

I booked a suite, but when I mentioned my small dog, they put me in a non-suite instead. I don't know whether a “non-dog suite” would have been cleaner or in better condition. It seems short-sighted, since lots of people have dogs instead of kids these days. The room was run down and a little dirty. There was hair in the bathtub, the toilet seat was broken, and the 32-inch TV was a bummer because we were there during two college football playoff games. Not what I expect from a Best Western Plus.
