The staff were incredibly kind and helpful, and the bathroom and shower were cleaner than I expected. I did spot one long woman’s hair on the shower wall, though the place seemed sanitary otherwise. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, so I used my own pillow and put one of theirs under my back to keep the springs from bothering me as much. There was no noise problem until a loud truck started up at 6 AM, and it seemed safe. Most guests looked like they were passing through. Booking direct was cheaper, and they had AAA for around $52, about a third of what I’d pay at a Marriott. I’ve already reached Marriott Titanium status this year and was trying other hotels; this is a clean, no-frills place I’d gladly use again on a cross-country trip. I brought my own shampoo and other toiletries, so I didn’t need theirs. For a quick nap and shower, the value is hard to beat.

The winding drive up to the hotel gives the place some charm, and our side had an amazing view of the city from the balcony. The location is central, with easy access to shopping areas and both chain and local restaurants. Our room was comfortable and well maintained, with no complaints. The front desk staff were kind and understanding. The key cards were a bit finicky, and the outside doors stuck and took some effort to open. One of the better budget hotels I’ve stayed at.

This is what I wish every motel aimed for: a very clean, well-maintained property with comfortable, quiet rooms. I had no issues and look forward to coming back. The owners and staff clearly care about the place, and you can tell. My only complaint is pretty petty: the TV lineup is limited, with just 40 channels. If you want a pleasant, very reasonably priced place in the area, this should be one of your first choices.
