Aiden by Best Western St. George

The parking made unloading easy since we could back right up to our door, and being on one level meant no noisy guests above us. We picked Aiden Best Western after a last-minute change of plans, heading to Snow Canyon in St George instead of Moab. Rodney, the evening host, greeted us warmly and was charming and helpful. He suggested several good places to eat within easy walking distance, and his root beer float, available around the clock, became my late-night treat. The room was clean, quiet, and refreshed in a contemporary style. The bed was fresh and comfortable, and we appreciated having a microwave, fridge, and Keurig coffee maker. There was a walk-in shower with plenty of hot water. Breakfast was included, started early, and had a good selection that changed each day. The owners are third generation, and you can see their personal touches throughout. We were pleasantly surprised by how great the stay was.

We were welcomed warmly when we checked in late in the afternoon, and the front desk gave us a coupon for a free appetizer next door at Cafe Sabor. My 96 yo MIL is now enjoying the freshly made Root Beer Float from our sweet friend at check-in. The motel is in a perfect location, with pretty, modern decor, and it was really clean and comfortable. I'm so glad we picked it.

It was quiet, which was the one good thing about this visit. We stayed here in 2021 and liked it then, so we came back, but it isn't as nice now. The carpet was covered in debris as soon as we opened the room. I found hair all over the bathroom floor and cleaned it up before taking photos. Pink mold covered the shower, with such a strong smell that we kept the bathroom door shut. The room also had an old, musty odor. I don't know if the room just isn't used much, but we're not coming back to find out. The suites are awkward to reach too, since you have to go around the block to find the back entrance. The pool was closed on both visits, so I can't comment on it. With much better cleaning, this could be a great place.

The pool and hot tub were open and clean, and I watched them test the pool water, so I felt fine swimming there. It was warm enough that kids stayed in without complaining, while some teammates' hotel pools weren't even open for the season. My 13 year old and I were there for a soccer tournament in early February 2026. I expected less at first because it was a small motel, but the rooms were clean, modern, and had been updated during Covid days. The family-run feel showed in the care and personal touches. It was affordable, the customer service was great, and I'd stay again. Five stars for its hotel class.
