WorldMark St. George

We’ve stayed at Worldmark St George many times, and it feels like our home away from home. As Vegas residents, we like that it’s a short drive, and my kids love coming here. I’ve stayed in both a one-bedroom and a three-bedroom unit. The fridge still has an ice maker, which I’ve heard WM is gradually removing, hopefully only at certain properties. They’ve also added a full Scrub Daddy sponge. There aren’t as many supplies in the units as there used to be, probably to stop people from taking them home, but the office is a short walk away and will readily give you what you need. We ate in a lot and went through plenty of dishwasher detergent. Cell service is spotty for me with T-Mobile, though other providers may be different. St George is the last major Utah city heading south on I-15 toward Vegas and California, and it’s a handy gateway to Zion if you’re coming from the south. It’s small, but has what you need for a vacation and is growing fast. There are beautiful neighborhoods and natural scenery all around. You don’t have to make the long drive to Zion to see scenery like that, either. Snow Canyon State Park has become one of my favorites, almost like a compact Zion, with cheap parking and lots of hikes for kids. Just down the hill from the resort, Thunder Junction All Abilities Park has a huge playground, a train, and a splash pad.

We’ve stayed here for Tuacahn plays, Mesquite football tournaments, fun runs, and just some downtime. There are several pools and hot tubs, a little mini golf course, a fitness room, and a playground for the kids. Free laundry detergent also means we can pack light and keep washing our clothes. We really enjoy our time at Worldmark by Wyndham, St George, even though I’m not a fan of the upselling meetings. We just turn down the presentations since we usually have plenty planned. It does seem like they’re changing the presentations so guests can choose to sign up, which is a plus.

After a day out exploring, the heated pools and spas are a welcome way to unwind. The facilities are first rate, and there are plenty of on-site activities if you’d rather stay in. It’s a great base for discovering all that Southern Utah has to offer.

I’ve been an owner since day one, starting with Trendwest before it was sold to another company. Coming to my property in St George, I keep running into the same frustrating sales push. They say there are new programs included free with ownership, but then expect you to spend time hearing a pitch for more credits. You have to attend a meeting, and getting to it means spending more money to access those supposedly free promotions or programs. Today they said it was free because I’m a member. If Worldmark really cares about its members, why not just enroll me in these benefits? They also sweet talk you with promises of more vacation availability, but when I log into my account, everything is fully blacked out and booked. These days, you apparently need to spend 150k to get any kind of priority, even though they tell you otherwise. Bad experience. They’ve been lying for over 20 years, ever since I became an owner. This was at St George UT, 1.9.26, 845pm check-in.
