St. Helena has become my favorite place to stay in the valley, and Black Rock Inn is a lovely getaway for wine lovers. The accommodations are really lovely, and Jeff was wonderful. Five stars, loved it!

We booked two rooms for two nights. It’s a nice place, but much too expensive. The owner was pleasant at first, then was very cold the next day.

I stopped in to look at the beautiful landscaping, but was told it was private property and that I had to leave. That didn’t feel welcoming at all. Based on the hospitality I experienced, I wouldn’t recommend this place.

They require a two-night stay, which makes it really hard to come for just one day. At nearly $500 a night, it feels pretty greedy not to allow a one-night booking.
