El Bonita Motel

We visited in February and paid a reasonable price. The room was clean and basic, with a coffee and tea maker, small bathroom and shower, and a comfy bed. Breakfast was simple, with cereal, juice, yogurt, croissants, and fruit, but no hot food. There’s a small outdoor heated pool and parking. The motel sits on the main highway, at the edge of town.

We were in St. Helena for an early appointment at St. Helena Hospital, and El Bonita Motel made what could have been a stressful trip much easier. The staff were attentive and very helpful, and the location was convenient. We felt it was a great deal and a peaceful, clean place to stay for our medical visit. The motel has a charming old-school look with tasteful modern updates, so it felt welcoming as soon as we arrived. Our room was super clean, quiet, and comfortable. We were thoroughly impressed and would highly recommend El Bonita Motel to visitors in the area.

Whenever we go to Napa Valley, this is our favorite motel. The scenery is beautiful, and the front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance customer service is the best I’ve come across. We also enjoyed the continental breakfast.

The rooms and service were subpar, and the staff’s attitude made the stay worse. At check-in and check-out, the front desk staff were shockingly rude and showed no interest in helping or welcoming us. The place seems to rely on its location and not care about its guests. It feels like an overpriced roadside stop, charging Napa prices without Napa quality or hospitality. You don’t get what you pay for here. There are plenty of other Napa places that value their customers, so save yourself the disappointment.
