Americas Best Value Inn St. Ignace

For the price, the motel was very clean, and it costs less than the other places around. Breakfast was decent too. The online pictures don't show updated carpet, beds, or TVs, because those things haven't been updated. My only issue was how many people were smoking in the parking lot. I know that's hard to control, so I didn't let it affect my rating. Being so affordable does bring in a lot of people, including some who aren't very considerate.

The water is just across the street, and downtown St Ignace isn't far, though you'll need to drive there. I walked about 10 minutes to Java Joe's for breakfast. The room was basic but clean, and the price was reasonable. Good value. I stayed two nights starting 7/31/25.

The WiFi was unreliable, so this may be a poor fit for kids who depend on internet access. Our in-room coffeemaker was missing a part, and the rooms felt dated, though they were fine. There is a pool and hot tub, and the breakfast selection was nice for a trip, with pretty standard options. When the air conditioner in one of our rooms had a problem, the owner sorted it out quickly. For the peak-season price, it worked as an acceptable stopover.

There's plenty of parking, and the location is a little north of downtown. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable. When I mentioned that the laundry room had an electrical problem, the proprietor acted right away and got it fixed. The downsides were old towels, no microwaves, and no eggs at breakfast. We were happy with our stay overall and would come back.
