The service was good and the free breakfast was okay, but the room cleanliness was terrible. The rooms weren’t being cleaned properly, and there was still stuff under the bed from who knows how many months ago. The water was shut off for a couple of hours one day, and we should have been accommodated for that. Everything else was just disappointing.

I’ve stayed here several times over the past 10 years, and it’s been good most of those times. Once, though, an unwanted visitor followed me and my girlfriend at the time to our room. Aside from that, it’s a nice hotel with plenty of space in the rooms, lobby, and restaurant. Good breakfast at no extra cost, an indoor pool, and lots of stores and restaurants within walking distance. I’d improve it by handling reservations in-house instead of through a call center, updating the hallways, and adding a lively bar and dance area.

I came with a group that had booked many rooms, and we compared notes the next morning. The staff were generally positive, but the facilities were awful. There was a microwave in the hallway, and I found a dirty tissue and dried liquid under my bed. There’s no room service anymore. The hotel feels worn out and doesn’t reflect the DoubleTree brand. The conference facilities were just as poor: the AV equipment was unreliable, and the group food was merely adequate. I got through the stay, but I’d never come back.

The location is convenient and easy to reach, with good restaurants nearby, plenty within walking distance, and free parking. But check-in was ridiculous. It starts at 3 p.m., and when I arrived at 4:30, there still wasn’t a room ready. They couldn’t tell me when one would be available, and I didn’t get a key until 8 p.m. Then the keys didn’t work. I’ve been an Honors member for years and never had this happen at another hotel. The property is worn and needs updates. The pool area, especially the hot tub, barely worked during my weekend stay, and the beds weren’t very comfortable, though the rooms were decent.

I digitally checked into room 1311 and got a digital key, but when we arrived, the hotel had put our room in another guest’s hands and kicked my family out. At midnight, they told us there were no rooms left for us. We were stranded in the lobby with no manager there to sort it out, then waited nearly 30 minutes before being offered a room at another hotel 20 minutes away. This was a nightmare, especially for a Hilton Honors family with kids who needed sleep. It showed a complete lack of organization and customer care. I strongly advise people to avoid this hotel.
