Clifton Heights Inn

That little stained-glass window is what I keep remembering, waking up beside it with the morning light coming through. The whole place felt peaceful and lovely, and you can tell a lot of thought went into the stay. The bathroom was especially impressive: huge, with heated floors, plus a lovely tub set out with a candle and bath salts. Such a relaxing visit.

The rooftop hot tub alone made the stay memorable. I also found the price reasonable compared with the fancier hotels around St. Louis, especially given the privacy, beautiful interior, and better amenities. One of the most enjoyable stays I've had.

We loved how private the rooms felt, while there was still plenty of comfortable shared space, which would work well for a family or friends. The Gothic Heights Inn itself is beautiful, from the staircase and stained glass to the former church setting. Our World's Fair Suite had a comfortable King bed and a great bathroom with two stained-glass windows, a large soaking tub, and even a candle. We managed to enjoy the rooftop view and hot tub before checkout despite some rain. The location is great, near the Hill and walking distance from a park and Chris' Pancake House for breakfast. There were lots of snacks and really good coffee, too. An incredible stay.

We stayed in the World's Fair Suite this past weekend and are already looking forward to coming back. The inn feels special as soon as you step inside, with beautiful woodwork and stained glass, plus lots of room to relax in the common area. Upstairs, the hot tub comes with an amazing city view. Our room had everything we needed for a comfortable night's sleep. The owners have thought of so many helpful details, from heated bathroom floors and robes to hot tub towels, a white noise machine, and bottled water. It made for a carefree, relaxing visit.
