Comfort Inn & Suites Saint Louis Lafayette Square

We felt frustrated, misled, and unsupported, and the refund didn’t come close to addressing what happened. During our stay, items were taken from our room by the cleaning lady, who had clearly gone through our belongings. That was a serious breach of trust and privacy. When we reported it, manager Sheila seemed sympathetic and promised to make things right, including refunding one night for the missing items and the situation. After checkout, that promise wasn’t kept; we received only $30. Our later attempts to resolve this were met with inconsistent communication, avoidance, and no accountability. If you value your belongings, privacy, and honest service, I’d strongly recommend staying elsewhere.

We chose this location for the Ark Encounter, and it worked out well. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the room was nice, though it could have been cleaner. The beds were comfortable. Breakfast was the weak point: it was the same each day and not very tasty. I’ve stayed at many Choice Hotels, and I’d call this one average.

The staff were eager to help and accommodating, and the place had a very comfortable feel. It’s right by the freeway, with a gas station, Save A Lot, dollar store, and several other shops nearby. I’d feel good about staying here again.

The room was nicely furnished, though a little worn. I’m from out of town, and getting here was fairly easy. My first room had a bed that made more noise than the Tin Man without oil in Wizard of Oz, so I moved right away. Be warned, check the bed.
