We got two good nights of sleep, with a comfortable bed and no noise overnight, though it was noisy early in the morning. Most of the guests seemed to be workers. The room was surprisingly clean, including the walls and doors as well as the floor, bed, and bathroom. It had a TV, mini fridge, and microwave, but no coffee. Arriving on a stormy night, I didn’t get a good first impression. The area may not be the best, and the owner has some odd rules, like not standing outside your door or walking around the parking lot. He seems concerned about keeping the place as safe as possible. It was the best price we found, and we’d return.

For $45, my single king room, number 110, was very nice. There isn’t much parking, but the staff were cool about letting me use four spaces so I could jackknife my truck and trailer into a spot. It’s a rough-looking crowd, and I wouldn’t call it a place for kids or goody-good families. No complaints otherwise.

The bed was extremely comfortable, and the room had a good-sized TV, plenty of cable channels, a refrigerator, a microwave, and a phone. Those were all real pluses for the price. I walked in expecting less given the location and was pleasantly surprised. The owners have clearly put effort into making the property nice. My concern was the bathroom: it was beautiful but freezing, with no HVAC, and the room heater couldn’t warm the bathroom or the whole room enough to make up for it.

I booked a non-smoking room, but when I arrived they only had a smoking one. They offered half off, then billed me the full amount. When I called to get half the reservation credited, they said I had to come in person, even though I live three hours away. After several calls, they kept insisting that was the only option. Booking online or by phone was possible, but apparently getting a credit wasn’t. During those calls, the owner hung up on me when I asked for the employee I’d been speaking with by name. He seemed to think I was asking for a guest. I don’t understand why he didn’t recognize his own employee’s name, or why hanging up was his answer. I would not recommend staying here.

For $40, I had a very decent couple of nights. The management was sweet, and it was quiet as could be. I heard no neighbors, no guns, nothing. The room was decent, with a big, comfortable bed and sheets that looked new and clean. The water was hot, although the pressure wasn’t great. Even the carpet was nicer than at InTown Suites hotel in St Charles. I was in a smoking room despite not smoking, but the smell wasn’t overpowering and didn’t stick to my hair or clothes. I don’t know why this place gets so many bad reviews. Thanks Delux😄
