Hampton Inn & Suites Forest Park

We had our dog with us and were surprised by how good the hotel was. The room was clean and seemed maybe renovated, and the parking lot had enough spaces. The area felt safe overall, and it's only 10 minutes from the arch. When we left in the snow, I was impressed to see the manager clearing snow off guests' cars.

The front desk women were very nice, and our room was clean. The heated indoor pool was a real plus, with plenty of clean towels; it opens at 6am and closes at 10pm. Check-in is at 3pm and checkout at noon, so we had time to swim. Breakfast was very good, and I believe they have coffee all day. We enjoyed the stay so much that we hope to book with this company again, hopefully at a location just as good.

Expedia messed up my reservation, so checking in was a hassle, but Kamille at the front desk helped sort it all out. She went out of her way and stayed pleasant through the whole ordeal. The room was nice and clean, and breakfast was a very welcome surprise: frittatas, sausage, toast, and two kinds of fresh waffles with 10 or 12 toppings. I'd definitely stay here again next time I'm in St. Louis.

This is my third visit, and the front desk staff are always welcoming. The kitchen team also works hard to provide great service. Rooms, lounge, and pool are clean and well kept. Parking in the hotel lot costs a little extra, but there are plenty of spaces. Diners, restaurants, and coffee shops are easy to reach, and the location is handy for the Zoo, Science Museum, and other Forest Park attractions.
