This overpriced hotel was a disgrace, and the owners and upper management clearly don’t care about guests or loyal members of cesars. Parts of the ceiling were falling down and sometimes ended up on the floor, with no areas roped off. The trip across the hotel toward the casino floor came with horrible smells of death, doom, and gloom. Rooms were dirty, with hair in the bathroom, mold on the shower curtain, trash, and other disgusting problems. The metal on door frames had rusted away and wasn’t repaired, and the bed was extremely uncomfortable. Some staff were friendly, but many were rude or unhelpful. Management wasn’t around or on duty. The rules are ridiculous, including no cake and no ballons in rooms. It was difficult to extend a stay or get an employee room discount. Even if you’re a 7 star member who usually visits a different Cesar property, expect to be treated like anybody else. There’s no room service despite several places to eat on site. Dead birds could be seen and found. Just bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad, bad garbage.

We really liked the room and will definitely come back. It was spacious, with very comfortable beds, plus a sitting room with a table and chairs, a small wet bar, a fridge, a TV, and a sofa before you get to the bedroom. The bathroom was super tiny. I didn’t like that there weren’t any smoking rooms, but that was my only complaint.

The room was spacious, with a separate sitting area and a nice view of the Mississippi River. The hotel looks nice, but that was about all I liked. We stayed three nights on our first trip to St. Louis after a friend recommended it for its central location near the Arch. By the first night, I knew I’d made a mistake. I’m a light sleeper, and the music they play 24/7 was still audible through the door and faintly from my bed all night and morning. I called at 11:30pm to ask if they could turn it down, but was told it wasn’t possible because the manager wasn’t there “yet”. Apparently there’s no manager overnight. I had to buy ear plugs for the rest of the stay. Beyond the casino, the hotel doesn’t have much in the way of amenities. There was only one waste basket in the bathroom, which made a family trip harder, and no microwave. They also seemed to have strict rules about which appliances were allowed. Next time, we’ll probably stay elsewhere. I regret not choosing the Drury plaza.

The location worked well because the hotel connects to the casino by a sky bridge, and the desk workers were kind and very helpful. It looks like it may have been converted from an Embassy Suites. The sheets were stained, the floors needed cleaning, and the shower rod sagged so the curtain kept opening while I showered. The safe also wouldn’t work and kept showing an error.

I’ve stayed here every year for a tradeshow since 2016, but this was my last time. The rooms are large and cheap, the renovated courtyard and bar are nice, and some of the staff were kind. But there are moldy vents, extremely loud AC units, and rooms falling apart. The wall outlets are hidden, and the built-in outlets on the lamps are so worn that plugs fall right out. One lamp in my room was unplugged behind the TV, where I couldn’t reach it. The fridge in my employee’s room leaked the whole time, and every chair in mine had broken leg supports. Last year they accepted and held a package for me. This year they yelled at me for having anything delivered and threatened to leave it outside unless I came right back. At check-in, they added a mandatory $20 + tax daily fee to my Hotels.com rate for “FREE” casino parking and useless wifi that doesn’t reach the upper floors. If you stay long enough, remember to ask for maid service or you’re on your own. There are absolutely no microwaves, so don’t even ask. The list of threats and rules at check-in is ridiculous. Have more than 4 people in your room at once and they’ll fine you $350 for cleaning. The people movers and escalators to the city have been broken for at least two years, and the skywalk smelled like actual poop.
