Hyatt Regency St. Louis at The Arch

Being downtown made getting around easy, and I really enjoyed waking up to a view of the Arch. The rooms were clean and cared for, and the bed was very comfortable. The walk to some rooms can be long depending on where you’re assigned, so that may matter if mobility or convenience is important. Elevators were usually quick, though busy periods meant lots of stops. I loved my visit and would gladly come back.

The indoor heated pool staying open until 11 was a big hit with our little one. Check-in and checkout were handled with exceptional customer service, and the room was clean. Breakfast was the usual hotel spread. There’s complimentary coffee in the lobby, but mine tasted like hot water. Maybe it was a fluke, since the coffee in the room was fine. Thanks, Hyatt, for being so hospitable!

My first stay at a Hyatt left a very bad impression. After checkout, I found a $105 valet charge on my card, even though I had no car and never approved it. The front desk said my card had been used for parking tied to another room in our group reservation. The person in that room has bank records showing they paid for their own parking, and I have records showing the charge on my card, so it appears we were both billed for the same parking. I called to try to sort it out and was told the staff were busy helping guests check in and I should call back later. That was frustrating when I was only trying to correct what seems to be a billing error. The whole thing made the hotel seem disorganized, and the lack of help added to the problem. I hope management reviews the charge, fixes it, and improves how these issues are handled.

The breakfast buffet was amazing, and the room had plenty of space and a wonderful bed. Everyone on staff was friendly and fun to deal with. Great hotel and phenomenal service. Thanks for the stay, and keep it up. I highly recommend it.
