Rodeway Inn

We used points for the reservation, so the stay was technically “free,” but we still left and booked at the comfort inn. The second room wasn't any better after we asked to switch. The pool was closed, the cable didn't work, and the phones were out. Both rooms had serious cleanliness problems: blood stains and bed bug droppings on the mattresses and linens, dusty furniture, a refrigerator that needed wiping, carpet that badly needed vacuuming, and a cracked toilet. The rooms showed clear signs of bed bugs. We feel much better at the comfort inn.

The place looked shut down from outside, and I noticed bugs in the AC right away. The lobby smelled like weed, the Atrium was disgusting, and the kid pool was closed. The fountain was drained, the regular pool was nasty, and the hot tub was disgusting with jets that didn't work. Inside, the carpet was torn and covered with cigarette burns. There was only one and a half pillows, the bathroom smelled horrible and had mildew all over, and someone's dirty socks and underwear were on the floor. No coffee pot or alarm clock, and the sink had no water. Do not go here. It needs to close and be renovated, the people living there should be kicked out, and they need real security. The owner doesn't deserve to own property if they're not going to take care of their business.

I only gave one star because the site wouldn't let me post without it. There was mold on the bathroom door and shower tiles were falling off. The room smelled, and ants were on the nightstand. The bed had urine stains, the siding was open so you could see the springs, and you could hear everyone. People yelled outside at all hours. The door connecting our room to the next one was unlocked when we arrived. When I left, I was followed. It felt unsafe. There are hotels for the same price that are safe, go somewhere else.

We stayed one night with a group during a cross country trip, and I couldn't wait to leave. The common areas and halls were dim, and there was no breakfast. Dirt was piled along the hallway walls, while the room carpet felt greasy. This wasn't just a quick wipe or vacuum job. We saw bugs crawling on the walls twice in the same night. If it hadn't been so late, we would've left. At least the beds seemed clean, there was hot water, and the towels were clean, but this was the worst hotel I've stayed in for a long time.
