The area itself seemed fine, but the service was awful. Nobody came to clean during our stay, and when my daughter got sick and threw up on the bedding, I had to wash it by hand. They said they couldn’t help at all, and the staff were rude and unpleasant. I also felt like I’d been scammed: the room was advertised at 279, but I was charged 385, including about a hundred dollars in taxes. The people around the place looked shady. I was trying to get my daughter and me out of an abusive situation, and I wish I’d chosen somewhere else instead of ending up in another bad situation.

I’ve stayed at this lodge five times. Rooms 245, 232, and 104 had bed bugs, while the other two rooms had roaches. Don’t waste your money. I promise you’ll be eaten alive by insects. If you stay anyway, bring an exterminator with you.

The negative reviews I saw before the trip had me worried, but I had a really pleasant stay. The room was spotless, with fresh linens and toiletries, plus a stove, fridge, and microwave. I usually bring bleach because places rarely meet my cleanliness standards, but I didn’t need it here. The staff were excellent, and the clean pool wasn’t crowded, so the kids could enjoy it. The pet fee was affordable at 7.50 a day. I’ll be back in May and stay here again.

A few of the staff are the best part of this place. The owner is rude, doesn’t seem to care that it’s falling apart, and only gives refunds if you keep pushing. The rooms are infested with roaches and fleas, and nothing ever seems to get cleaned. It’s loud, with police here almost every day, and people speeding through the parking lot make it a bad choice for kids. The laundry room is disgusting, the machines are dirty and don’t clean clothes properly, and the internet is crappy. It might work for someone homeless with nowhere else to go, but that’s about it. Just lots of problems.

The rooms are disgusting even though the exterior and main office look good. They’re all smoking rooms, and there’s no reservation system, just first come, first served. The place is infested with roaches, and duct tape covers rot and holes where they travel. The walls are yellow from cigarettes, and the front door jambs looked like they’d been kicked in once or three times. The hot water was excellent, but there are no refunds, so beware. I developed a bronchial infection, possibly from roach droppings, mites, mold, or the roach bombs and poisons they use. I’ve been sick for five days now. This might do temporarily for someone really down on their luck, but I wouldn’t consider it safe or clean, even for a weekend, especially with the possibility of lung infections.
