SureStay Plus Hotel by Best Western St Marys Cumberland

We had to add a night after a tire blew, and we’d gladly stay here again on our travels. For what they charge, it’s hard to find a better deal. It’s one of the best pet-friendly places we’ve used at any price, with a great area for dog walks, a little bar/pub, clean rooms, and everything we needed nearby. It isn’t a five-star motel, but it worked really well for us.

The breakfast was great, and Dina, who served it, was especially warm and friendly. She kept checking whether we needed anything, real Southern hospitality. It’s in a great, safe location, and we’ll stay here again on a future visit to the area.

The breakfast here is more like restaurant food than the cereal-and-juice spread you get at many hotels. SURE STAY had a full selection of hot and cold items, from cereal to eggs and sausages. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I’d stay here again when business brings me back to St. Mary's GA. I stayed at Sure Stay from October 9th to 14th 2025 in a room with a king bed. The adjoining room had a washer and dryer, full-size refrigerator, microwave, and full-size stove with oven. There was also a couch that pulled out into a queen bed. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 👌 😍

Breakfast was a nice surprise, with fresh, well-stocked choices including waffles, omelets, sausage patties, instant grits and oatmeal, cereal, muffins, bagels, fruit, and yogurt. The staff were super friendly and gave excellent service. The area felt safe and we had no noise problems. We stayed at the Sure Stay Plus by Best Western in St. Marys, GA, the night before our cruise from Jacksonville, FL. It’s an older, two-story motel with room doors on the outside, but our room was clean, comfortable, and well kept. The beds were very comfortable, I didn’t see any bugs, and it was handy having a dorm-size refrigerator and microwave. I’d happily stay again and recommend it to anyone visiting the area or staying before a cruise.
