Friendly Native Beach Resort

The owner was amazing, but the rental company was awful. If you can book the place without going through the agency, you should be fine. They don’t seem to understand that this is a business, and when we pay for a service, we expect to receive what we paid for.

The location and our unit were both great, and the pool area is pretty. The building could use some attention, though: the hallways need paint, and the carpets need cleaning or replacing. I didn’t see anyone working on site.

The pool felt like lukewarm bathwater. When it’s already 80-plus degrees outside day and night, I want a cool place to swim, not a heated pool. It also seemed and smelled like it needed more chlorine or other chemicals to keep it up.

We paid over $3,000 for a month’s stay. We met a woman by the pool who said she pays next to nothing because her niece owns her place. The next day, around 1 p.m., we had a radio set up outside in the corner by our window and asked the people at the pool if they minded. Everyone said it was fine, and we put on music from the ’70s. Then that woman came out, went over to us instead of sitting down, and told us to turn it down. I won’t rent here again.
