Havana Inn

Our room at the Havana Inn was comfortable, and we loved our first visit to Pass-a-Grille. There were bugs in the bathroom when we arrived, in the shower, and the drain clogged on the first night. It was fixed the next day. The bugs disappeared for several nights, then came back the night before we left. Even with those issues, we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. Be sure to try the little Parisian Cafe on 8th, and Paradise to go for sandwiches and acai bowls.

This was my second stay at Havana Inn. Unit #3 was spacious, very clean, and in a phenomenal location. The staff were responsive, and I’ll definitely stay here again.

We stayed in apt 3, which has two bedrooms and two bathrooms. The queen-bed room was the warmest, perhaps because the A/C duct ends there and it gets less air. A king bed would be nice since it would fit. The kitchen had the basics, and the fridge was nice and cold. The location is perfect, right across from Pass A Grille beach, with two restaurants nearby and a great breakfast spot across the street. I’d consider staying again.

The unit was 83 degrees when we arrived, with three window AC units. It never cooled below 78 and was often in the mid-80s. The floors were buckling and the walls were sweating. I ended up cancelling our last night after I and two of my kids developed bad coughs that later turned into bacterial infections. When we asked about a refund, we were told we could cancel the final night and get that money back. We were so glad to leave, even though we were sick, that we accepted. If you’re considering a stay, I’d suggest asking for a mold check and whether there’s central air.
