Hilton Garden Inn St. Pete Beach

The restaurant and bar staff were consistently kind, professional, and attentive. They were the one bright spot in a very disappointing week at Hilton Garden Inn St. Pete Beach. I’ve been loyal to Hilton for a long time and usually choose its properties, but after this experience I’ll be warning about 50 colleagues who are coming to the area in June to stay elsewhere. I also plan to tell our booking company how poor this was. It didn’t meet the Hilton standards I’ve come to expect. I was there for business for a full week after checking in Sunday, and paid about $2,800. My room was cleaned only once, on Thursday. It wasn’t serviced every other day as expected, and after the front desk said it would be cleaned Wednesday because it hadn’t been done Tuesday, that didn’t happen either. Most of the stay was in an uncleaned room. Trash wasn’t picked up regularly, and the fresh towels didn’t look clean. I told staff about these problems, but they showed little urgency or concern. I came away feeling like my experience didn’t matter. Parking was extremely limited, which caused hassle throughout the week. I’d specifically requested a room with a view, but got one overlooking the parking lot, despite the premium rate. Paying that much to spend most of the week in a dirty room was unacceptable, and I was highly unimpressed with the value and the lack of care when I raised the issues. Work travel shouldn’t mean receiving less cleanliness, service, or consideration for the price. I hope Hilton takes this feedback seriously. I’ve been loyal to the brand and would like to see meaningful improvements so other guests don’t have the same experience.

The rooms were clean, the staff friendly, and getting to the beach was easy. We really liked the self check-in and check-out with keyless entry. It made everything simple, and we didn’t even need our wallets. We had a great time, including the beach bar and its live music. Just be aware that the bar plays music late, so families with little kids may prefer a room that doesn’t face the ocean.

We were here for a wedding and really didn’t want to leave. The wedding was magnificent, and the staff were the real MVPs. Every person we met was genuinely lovely, especially Jay and Brendan. They were super accommodating and went out of their way to help us. The beach and restaurant are a must for hanging out, and some of the best local eats were just a short stroll away. The location is an absolute 10/10. Would recommend and will be back.

Sophia at the front desk made a great first impression. She’s fun, friendly, and ready to help with anything. Then I learned that her manager, Brendan, is a big part of why she has such a great attitude. She adores and respects him, and says he’s the best boss she’s ever had. That’s a huge compliment, and he seems like a genuinely nice guy with a real passion for the industry. We had breakfast at Coconut Charlie’s and loved it. All three of us got build-your-own omelettes, which were delicious. Eddie served us, and he was a lot of fun and clearly enjoys his job. I’d highly recommend this Hilton Garden Inn for a stay in the St. Pete Beach area.
