There were around 60 roaches, in all sizes, scurrying into the shadows when I switched on the light after making it about three-quarters of the way into the room. The smell was awful, and I had to clean the room before I could settle in for the night. I asked for service, and they came out looking cleaner. I also had to buy bug spray for the roaches. Then they had the nerve to charge me more for the next night because the first day I can
The staff and owners are wonderful, understanding, and feel like family to me. I love them, and I wouldn't choose anywhere else. This place feels like home and is clean, kept up to date, and focused on keeping guests happy and safe. I live at the Bayway, and this is the best hotel I've been to on 34th Street. The location is lovely, with lots of good places nearby. I think it's a safe choice for children, pets, and families, and I'd give it five stars for everything.
The rooms are simple but nice, and the staff are great. It's in a great spot for fishing.
This place feels drug-infested and isn't somewhere I'd bring children. The sink and mirror were broken off the wall at check-in, so they moved me to another room, but that one stank too. Police are there every day, and people in the other rooms sell drugs and argue constantly. They shouldn't charge $85. It's not worth a star rating, and every room is a dump.
The TV doesn't work, the key won't let me in, and there's nobody at the front desk.
