Quality Inn Saint Petersburg North-Tampa Bay

Corporate reviewed my history and offered an accommodation after I contacted them, which I appreciate. Still, this visit has made me question whether I'll return. I've stayed here more than 20 times, joined as a loyalty member, and always found the other staff kind, welcoming, and professional. That good history made checkout with Brenda, the new “manager,” especially disappointing. She kept $40 from my $100 deposit for a small plastic bathroom fixture that was already damaged before I arrived. When I tried to explain calmly, I wasn't allowed to speak unless I accepted responsibility. Another staff member tried to help Brenda, but she dismissed them before they could speak. The whole exchange raised concerns for me about customer service and the work environment. I've never had a prior issue with damage or a withheld deposit here. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and the location keeps the standard that brought me back so many times.

Jakie checked us in and was very helpful and nice. The highlight, though, was manager Brenda. She seemed to know the property inside out and looked after both guests and staff. We saw her at the front desk, walking around the property, and even covering for the breakfast hostess. She's a hard worker and the most hands-on manager we've encountered. I can't imagine other Quality Inn locations having a staff as great as this one.

The beds were comfortable, and the air conditioning worked. There was also a pool that looked okay, though we didn't use it. The place was fairly clean, but the uneven floor and bathroom door with a crumbling bottom made it seem like there had been flooding at some point. Breakfast was a basic continental one, and there weren't any other extras. There was no in-room information for TV channels, breakfast, or checkout times, and no lobby printer to print our boarding passes when we left.

Clean, comfortable room, helpful and friendly staff, and a convenient location. The hotel had the amenities I needed and was a great value for the price. I had a fantastic stay at the Quality Inn & Suites and would recommend it to anyone after an affordable, comfortable place.
