I used an anniversary night for my family's stay in August 2025. At checkout I asked whether there were charges, and the front desk said no, so I didn't get a receipt. Then a $32.31 charge showed up on my next credit card statement. I received no email with a receipt, folio, or explanation, and the IHG site only told me to contact the hotel. I left messages for the manager for two weeks, but never reached them or got a callback. My credit card company upheld the charge after a month, saying the hotel called it a “marketplace” charge. None of us bought anything from the marketplace. I stay at IHG hotels all the time and have never had this happen. I kept calling, and one front desk worker said their system had changed, so she couldn't refund me or explain the charge. She offered enough reward points for a free night, 17,500 points, but only 5,000 appeared in my account. When I called about the rest, I was told the manager had to add them. I have left more messages since and still haven't received a callback. The only conclusion I can draw is that they do this often and expect people not to notice. This is basic fraud and theft. Find somewhere that runs an honest business. If I could leave negative stars, I would.

The staff were super nice and helpful, but a few parts of the stay fell short. The luggage carts weren't great for families with lots of bags, so you may need two if they're available. The pool was ice cold, not heated at all, and my son was desperate to swim, but I got in and couldn't stay. One elevator was out of order, and the other felt like it could drop at any moment. There was even a sign warning against jumping in it and threatening fines, which made me wonder if that's happened before or if someone jumping could snap the cables. I never felt comfortable riding it. We tried breakfast on our first morning and regretted it. The cheese omelette had no cheese when I opened it, the pancake machine was broken, and the potatoes looked inedible. The next day we went to the Cracker Barrel next door instead.

My son got a flat tire on I-24 in November, so I booked him a room and he arrived around midnight. He asked for a late checkout because of the hour, then left by noon for an appointment to get a new tire. The clerk said a receipt would be emailed, but I only got the original confirmation. When my credit card bill arrived, there was an extra night charge of $150. I emailed and heard nothing. When I called, they said they'd look into it and get back to me within five business days, but they didn't. I disputed the charge with my credit card company, and the hotel said it had no record of him checking out. This is just wrong. Stay away or you may be cheated too.

I liked how quiet the area was even though the hotel sits just off the highway. There’s a little shopping mall nearby, and restaurants are close enough to walk to. The room was comfortable, and I never heard much noise in the hallway. Breakfast was better than I expected and changed each day. The coffee was especially fresh, and available around the clock.

The room looked clean and nice, but the bed was hard and lumpy, and the pillows were much too soft. The bathroom sink had no hot water, and its outlet didn’t work. The hallway also had a strange smell. Breakfast was the biggest letdown: the potatoes were undercooked, the sausage wasn’t good, and even the oatmeal was raw, sitting in a tub of warm water.
