Budget Inn

A good spot in town with a nice vibe and great staff. The bed and seating are set up well for watching the big smart TV, and it has HDMI available, which worked well for gaming. Internet speed was solid too. Great if you want to be centrally located and relax with a big screen.

I was mainly there to see my graduate, so I managed for two nights, though I’m not sure I could’ve done three. The place was loud, with people walking around and talking loudly, and only kind of clean. It had a bed, toilet, and shower, and was close to the base for graduation. I flew in at short notice and wanted a budget stay, and that’s definitely what I got. It had the feel of a run-down 70s motel. There wasn’t much to do nearby. I walked around Walmart, found a park, and ate at a lot of restaurants. There weren’t any outlets where I needed them, so I had to move the bed to find an extension cord to charge my phone. There was no phone in the room either.

My daughter was graduating from Waynesville high School, so I stayed in the area for a few days. I booked four nights and arrived late, but since I didn’t actually stay the first night, the manager refunded it, which was really nice. It was pretty nice for $50 a night. I liked the area, can’t really complain about the motel, and would stay again.

The beds were comfortable and the AC was cold, but that was about it. The floors were filthy when we arrived. We stayed three days and the room was never cleaned or the trash picked up. I almost had to beg for clean towels, or enough towels for the three of us. You get what you pay for, if even that.
