Spark by Hilton St. Robert Fort Leonard Wood

We paid $121 plus tax for a Monday night, checking out 10/28/25. For the area, the value was acceptable, though I wouldn’t call it fantastic. This was our first stay at a Spark by Hilton, and I’d put it below a Tru by Hilton for a no-frills visit. There’s no pool or fitness center, which didn’t bother us. The building used to be a Red-roof in, so that may help give an idea of the room size. The room was small but worked for us, and it was crazy clean since the place is brand new. The beds were super comfortable and we got a quiet, good night’s sleep. Our main room complaint was that there were no cups, and the front desk person couldn’t find any, so we took some from the coffee area downstairs. Breakfast was just okay, nothing special, though it was more than a bagel bar. We had vanilla yogurt, cereal, a bagel, a cupcake, tea, an apple, and a banana. We prefer fruit yogurt. Since there aren’t any actual photos of the outside on the website, I’m including some with my review. Actual photos make it easier to find the place on a first visit.

DP went out of the way to make sure we were comfortable, and the staff were flexible and helpful throughout our pleasant two-day stay. It was good value for what we paid. My only concern was that the bathroom could have felt fresher, and the room sometimes had a slight damp smell.

We were pleased with the stay and found it good value. We usually stay at Hampton properties, and this one worked well for us. We needed a reservation late in the day and arrived very late, but they had a room ready. The recently refreshed property was perfectly clean, the beds were comfortable, and the late-night staffer got us checked in quickly. There was a refrigerator in the room and beverage service in the lobby. Breakfast was what you’d expect from Hilton’s newer budget brand: bagels and cereal, with yogurt and oatmeal packets.

After reading the internet comments before driving from South Georgia to Missouri, I was worried about what kind of place we’d find. My son and I were there for my grandson’s graduation from Boot Camo at Fort Leonard wood. After our nine-hour drive, we arrived at the Moyel and found the outside very nice and clean. The staff were very nice too, which surprised me after those comments. Our room was very clean, pretty, and updated. The air was on, the TV was already on, and it welcomed my son by showing his name on the screen. The continental breakfast was good, and there was coffee 24/7. The next morning I said good morning to the gentleman working in the lobby, and he warmly said it back. We talked, and I told him how nice the Moyel was. He smiled and thanked me. When I mentioned the comments I’d read online, he said they were working with Google to get them taken down. I hope they do, because this Moyel is great. The staff are friendly and great. The gentleman explained it had been a rough place, then it was sold and the new owners redid it. If I’m ever back in that area, I’ll make sure to stay here. The new owners have done a great job remodeling, and I wish them nothing but prosperity. Keep up the great work and friendliness.
