Hilton Garden Inn Brunswick

The hotel is attractive, clean, and the staff are friendly. Just know the building is split between Hilton Gardens and Home 2 Suites, with a shared lobby. Home2 guests get free breakfast, while Garden guests have to pay at the restaurant, and you need a Home2 key to enter the free breakfast area. The TV setup was lousy: no local or network channels, just free shows from years ago. You can sign in to streaming apps, but YouTubeTV didn’t work, and casting from a phone isn’t possible.

We booked our company Christmas party here, and Ruth Griffin handled it so well. She communicated clearly, took care of every detail, and the food went over better than anyone expected. As a local, I don’t usually stay at area hotels, but we also had rooms for party guests, and they were clean, comfortable, and well equipped. The downstairs bar was a nice bonus, too. We had a fantastic experience and would gladly choose Hilton Garden Inn for a stay or an event.

We used to stay at The Embassy Suites when passing through Brunswick, but the service and overall experience weren’t for us, so we switched to The Hilton Garden Inn. We’ve booked here four times now, and the latest stay was perfect. We skipped our usual dinner place and ate at the bar instead. Cece served us, and the tomato basil bisque was wonderful. My husband liked his burger and fries. We expected average hotel food at that price, but it was better than that. We arrived for breakfast 30 minutes before closing. David was funny and nice. My husband’s pancakes were a little doughy in the middle. My breakfast sandwich came with home fries and, though it was supposed to be on a bun, wasn’t. It was still excellent, and the fries were decent. Again, the quality beat our expectations for the price. My husband ordered sausage on the side but got bacon; David fixed it right away. I forgot to take dinner photos.

I really liked my room, especially the shower, but next time I’ll book Home 2 because I didn’t like the restaurant service. On Saturday at breakfast, our server misplaced the credit card we’d given her. I called the front desk to report it, and thankfully someone found it in the lobby and turned it in. It was an awful experience.
