Breakfast was made to order and good, and the room was spotless. The B&B is clean and updated, with charming, well-kept grounds. It's an easy walk to the beach and a short ride to downtown. For a moderately priced, casual stay, it's very nice. If you're after upscale amenities, this probably isn't the place. We'd definitely come back.
Debi's hospitality was wonderful, and the room gave us plenty of space and privacy. My wife and I planned a Valentine's weekend at Saint Simons Island, about 95 miles from home, and The Grey Owl Inn was a great choice for the area. We found some great restaurants nearby, and the Inn's breakfast each morning was a lovely way to start the day.
I'd never tried a B&B before and wasn't sure what to expect. The GOI is a peaceful, quiet place, set in a beautifully landscaped garden with a gazebo and pond. The five-bedroom home has been tastefully restored, and every room has its own decor. Breakfast made to order was mouthwatering, and Debi, the innkeeper, was as accommodating as could be. Five-plus stars!
The grounds are breathtaking, and the staff were so friendly and made us feel comfortable. This little gem is such a sweet getaway on St. Simon's Island. We hope to visit again soon!
We enjoyed the morning walks, with the beach and shops both within walking distance. Breakfast prepared each day was a special treat, and our room had plenty of charm and everything we needed to feel comfortable. We had a wonderful stay at the Grey Owl Inn, and Debi was a kind, friendly host.
