Courtyard Stafford Quantico

They made me feel welcome and valued all weekend. It was the best Marriott check-in experience I've ever had, thanks to the wonderful staff.

The stay itself was great, and the front desk staff were always kind when I called over the next few days to ask about my sweater. Each time, someone physically checked in the back for me, but it was never found. I was traveling alone with two five-year-olds and forgot it hanging to dry in the closet on checkout day. I knew where I'd left it, so it was disheartening to think it had either been taken or thrown away. Be careful about leaving belongings at this hotel. If a sweater isn't turned in, I imagine something more valuable might not be either.

Parking is free, but breakfast isn't. The front desk didn't acknowledge my status or offer the usual choices that come with it. There was hair on the bathroom floor when I arrived, and the carpeted room floor made cleanliness harder to judge. The fridge was noisy, and the tub caulking needs mold removal and repair. The hotel has no views because it's set in a big parking lot.

The room was lovely, the food was great, the price was super reasonable, and the location worked well for sites near Quantico and DC. What really stayed with me was how warm and genuine the women at the desk and bistro were when we checked in late on 2/22 because of a blizzard. My two kids and I hadn't made it to DC as planned, and I was traveling alone with a three-year-old and a two-month-old. While we waited for dinner, my toddler got a dish of fruit. The cafe worker offered to walk around with the baby so I could eat, and the front desk woman came over to gush about my boys. They were incredibly kind and accommodating. Couldn't recommend them enough.
