We chose Foggy mountain because nearby hotels cost a lot more, even though it was about 20-25 min from Seven Springs and Laurel Mountain, where we came to ski. The room was really nice and quiet, and the staff went above and beyond to accommodate our family. A comfortable, peaceful stay for a reasonable price.

Sam was great with us, first as our bartender at lunch and then again as our dinner waiter. We really enjoyed the stay and the dinner. Breakfast could be better, maybe with a waffle maker, but the service was excellent. Thank you!

Our anniversary was ruined. We arrived for the 3:00pm Valentine’s Day reservation I’d called to make for dinner, since we planned to see a movie afterward. An amazing waiter seated us and brought drinks, then handed us lunch menus. I wish they’d told me when I booked that dinner didn’t start until 4:00. If we wanted sandwiches, we could have gone to Wendy’s. It was our 20th Anniversary.

Friendly staff and great food made this a great late lunch stop. If you’re in the area, it’s worth stopping by, and it could be a regular local watering hole.
