We’re definitely making this an annual trip. Be sure to visit the artists’ studios on site, especially Kathy Kromer & Sue Pirtle’s at Studio #4. Maura Hagood’s "Eye Spy Christmas" in her home is a must see, wow doesn’t even cover it, and her SanAngeloLIVE interview doesn’t do it justice. Sabrina is so attentive and an amazing artist, too. This is such a unique place to stay.

Our room was comfortable and had a fun, unusual feel to it. We arrived while they were hosting an art market, which made the stay especially delightful. The location is beautiful.

A calm, quiet stay, with lovely rooms that had everything we needed. The property mixes plants and artwork so nicely, and the little shops are adorable. We even got live music that evening. As a crazy chicken lady, my only suggestion is to add a few chickens for fun!

The room, which used to be a chicken coop, had all the basics, including a microwave and mini fridge. A mini split and ceiling fan kept it cool. There’s a shared area with water, mini milks, apple and orange juice, plus frozen breakfast sandwiches and single-serve cereal for breakfast. Artists have rooms around the property, which is really neat, and the host who showed me around was very nice. Definitely a unique place to stay.

We found this charming artist community on the way from Dallas to Marfa, and it made a perfect stop. The compound has a lively, friendly feel. Our large two-bedroom suite connected to a kitchen, and everything was clean. The A/C worked well, and the room had a fun lodge feel.
