The Vine on main

I couldn't get into the room, and there was nobody on site to help because check-in is self-service. The listed help number on the website was international, with a +57 country code in columbia, and my cell couldn't make or receive international calls. Priceline kept me on the phone for 2 hours without resolving anything, only repeating that they couldn't guarantee a refund if I cancelled, even though I couldn't access the room. I eventually gave up and drove an extra hour to another hotel. Now I'm out the room cost, the 2 hours spent trying to get in and the extra hour of driving, plus another 2 hours tomorrow to backtrack to where I need to go.

I arrived around 11pm, and the easy self check-in meant I could get into my room late without trouble. The place has a modern log-cabin feel inside, and my room was clean and updated. The bathroom was spotless, the heater worked well, the water pressure was high and the wifi was great. It's in a quiet town, with a cafe about a 5 min walk away and a few shops nearby. I'm very happy with my stay and have nothing negative to say.

We were in town for a wedding at Stone Tavern Farm, 25 min away, and were very happy with The Vine on Main. The room was charming, cozy, beautiful, clean and super quiet, with everything we needed. I especially loved the expresso machine. Getting in was convenient and easy, and all the instructions came by email. Thank you so much! 🫶

The coffee machine was broken, which made for a rough morning after a night with little sleep. The fire department noise they warn you about is much louder than expected, and the church bells ring every hour. The shades also let exterior lights in and offer little privacy, so light sleepers should know that. We had keypad trouble too. It started beeping in the middle of the night, either because someone tried to get in or because it malfunctioned by itself. There should be a way to deadbolt the door from inside for extra safety. When I connected my laptop to the wifi to answer emails, I got a sketchy McAfee pop-up warning of a possible hack, so I wouldn't trust the wifi. There was hair on the shower wall, which made it seem like the bathroom hadn't been cleaned between check-ins. The shower is worn and could use a fresh coat of paint.
