They charged us $888 for the month after telling me it would be $800, and $360 for a week they quoted at $250, even though we hardly used anything. We were barely there because of the way people stared at us and spoke to us. Knowing I was disabled and used a wheelchair, they put us in a spot that flooded and turned swampy. They also told us to leave by yelling at my son as he was going out, instead of telling us directly. Two people would watch my kids and grandkids the whole time we were outside, paying attention to everything they did. They scream and yell at you for no reason, and the campground bathrooms are never clean. We found out this has happened to others too. The way they talk to and treat people isn't fair. I definitely don't recommend the place.
At first the price was $89 plus tax, and now the rooms are $100. There's no breakfast or coffee or tea, no shampoo or conditioner, no microwave, no small fridge, nothing. Housekeeping rarely came to clean, change the sheets, or pick up dirty towels. Only a couple of times were the front desk clerks rude, and the young woman was always polite. It isn't worth the price, but it'll do in a pinch 🙂
Don't be put off by how it looks from the outside. For an older motel, the rooms are very nice and clean. The service representative checks in every day to see if you need anything, and the owners at reception are very friendly and kind. That was much better than my stay at the Hotel Inn Express in Tallahassee Florida. They only gave us fresh towels once every five days. When you're working out of town, there are usually two people in a room, and three towels just don't cut it, if you know what I mean.
The spaces are a good size, so you don't feel crowded, and it's a basic, nice campground. The bathhouse isn't well kept, and prices have gone up recently, so it's not nearly as reasonable now. One resident has a vicious dog that isn't always properly restrained. It attacked my dog while I was walking him. Be careful.
