Courtyard by Marriott State College

The accommodations were extremely nice, and service was good throughout. Internet was the weak spot: even at its fastest, the Wi-Fi was only okay for email. Video calls lagged and were difficult to manage, so anyone who needs high-speed Wi-Fi may want to look elsewhere.

Marcus went up to the room himself to look for my son’s baby blanket while housekeeping was on break, then called me back within minutes. He was so kind and compassionate on the phone, and you can tell he cares about his job. He handled everything with grace and empathy, and saved us from a complete child meltdown. Thanks for going above and beyond, Marcus. This is why we’re Gold Marriott members 😀

The hotel was very clean and in a great location, and the gym was kept in good shape. I just wish the free weights went past 50 lbs. There was room for more, and I use 70 lbs, so I made do. My bigger gripe is that there’s no complimentary breakfast or free coffee. Those little things would help guests who need to head out early.

The pool was a little cold, but we still had a great time. We stayed this past weekend for the arts fest in downtown state college, and the staff were helpful and accommodating. Everyone was incredibly nice, our room was clean, and when we left our son’s basketball behind, they kindly shipped it back to us. We had an amazing experience.
