Hampton Inn Statesboro

The whole staff was so friendly, from the cleaning crew and the woman who made an amazing breakfast to the kind man taking out the trash. This was by far the cleanest hotel I've stayed in recently, and a very good place to stay.

We've stayed here twice and had a great experience both times. The staff are attentive and nice, the rooms are clean and work well for a weekend, and restaurants and stores are within walking distance. Breakfast was wonderful, with waffles, fruit, boiled eggs, cheese grits, sausage, potatoes, juice, and more. My only complaint is that while we were packing to leave, we saw a small bug crawling on the AC unit. It looked like a baby roach.

The rooms have been renovated and were clean, and everyone on staff was friendly. AJ checked us in and took great care of us. They mentioned macadamia cookies were being made, then brought some warm ones right to our room.

The broken bed is why I'd take off a star. My kid slept on the other bed and was fine, so I may just have been unlucky. There were a few other little things that needed fixing, like a broken toilet paper holder, but nothing major. The hotel is closer to the hospital and university than downtown, so it's less convenient if you're visiting downtown. The pool is outdoors and was chilly in February, but it was open and big enough to swim or let kids play. The gym had plenty of cardio machines and free weights. Everything was very clean. Staff were super friendly everywhere, especially the front desk, and the woman setting out breakfast was so sweet I wanted to hug her. Breakfast was good, a typical Hampton Inn spread with a little extra care. They even had heart sprinkles for Valentine's Day, which I thought was cute.
