The bed was comfortable, and the place is dog friendly. It is a cheaper hotel, with one serving of coffee in the room, no blow dryer, and no shampoo or conditioner, so bring your own shampoo and extra coffee. The paint job looked unprofessional, and the smoke detector was missing. They say there's a kitchenette, and there is a two-burner cooktop, microwave, and full-size refrigerator. But there was no silverware, pans, dish towels, or anything like that.

The clerk was sketchy and very rude. At first, he quoted $60 for the room plus a $50 deposit. We stepped out to the car briefly to get food, and he followed us out of the office, urging us to come back. It was odd and he was persistent. When we returned ready to pay, he changed the room price to $69.99, said it would be $85 “with tax,” and then said the total with the deposit was $135. We questioned the $25 increase, and he just repeated the $69.99 price and $85 after tax. When we asked about the $15 “tax” and how long it would take to get the deposit back, he got aggravated and told us to leave and find somewhere else. As we started leaving, he followed us out again and acted combative. Do NOT book this sketchy motel at all cost!

On our way to Florida, we stopped here and everything was fine. I was glad the floor was clean and didn't have that stinky carpet.

At least there weren't any rats or roaches. That's the only good thing I can say about this place.

The rooms got new bed frames and mattresses while we were there, and the beds were extremely comfortable. The cleaning staff were really nice, too. The owner and his wife were always pleasant to deal with, and my family and I felt safe during our stay.
