Super 8 by Wyndham Statesboro

I refused to stay after finding the hotel lobby locked when I arrived. There were people loitering outside, and I had to ring a bell at a broken window. A notice said, "No breakfast, no pool... sorry for the inconvenience." I had booked with airline miles, so this forced me to pay out of pocket for a decent hotel for my three-night stay in Stateboro, which wasn't in my original plan.

The pool was covered, with the cover in disrepair and weeds over a foot tall growing on top. Inside the room, the bathroom door wouldn't stay shut because its latch didn't work, and the tub seemed to have more patch material than original fiberglass. The property was in terrible condition and looked nothing like the listing photos. It was a major disappointment, and I won't make that mistake again.

I stayed nearly a week, and the room felt like home ❤️ It was clean, with room service every morning, and the people were very nice and helpful 😀 The rooms are big, and the price is the cheapest. The place is right in town, close to Georgia Southern University, with restaurants a 5-10 minute walk away. WiFi was really fast, and there was a Smart TV, fridge, microwave, and jetted tub. The hot and warm water felt great for my night-time bath before bed. I'm a traveller!

The room photos and pool pictures are nowhere near the truth. There was no pool, breakfast, WiFi, restaurant, dry cleaning, or even a lobby. The listing on Priceline says they don't have smoking rooms, but they do. The toilet wouldn't flush, the window wouldn't close all the way, and there were roaches. It was dirty, with things left by other guests. The phone had no cord, and all the bedding had burn holes. The AC was falling apart with broken knobs. The coffee and creamer left in the room were old and hard as a rock, and the coffee pot was broken and leaked all over. The bathtub was burned from cigarettes. Would NOT recommend!
