If you're traveling with pets and need somewhere affordable in Statesville, this place is hard to beat. They don't charge extra for pets, and the front desk staff are friendly, understanding, and wonderful. I've stayed in several rooms here. They were clean for the most part, though I'm especially picky about cleanliness. It works for short stays or extended ones.

The room was freezing when I checked in last night, around 43 degrees, and took most of the night to warm up. I also had to call the front desk to get a TV remote. I won't stay here again and wouldn't recommend it.

There was hair in the shower, and when I woke up, a roach crawled away behind the wallboard before I could record it. Housekeeping hadn't cleaned the room well, and the attendant offered only half my stay back. Disgusting, and management is poorly run. This has put me off Statesville altogether.

The location is convenient, and the man at reception was helpful and very nice. The room itself was filthy, though. There was grime on the walls and floors, stains on the mattress, sheets, and pillows, plus crumbs and dirt all around the bed frame. It looked like it hadn't been cleaned in months. The AC was unbelievably loud, and the shower had no proper head, just a hose sticking out of the wall that blasted a concentrated stream of water.

Paid $150 for two nights and left before we'd even been in the room for 30 minutes. The bed was impossible to sleep in, and kids and adults were screaming. Please don't come here.
