We had no maintenance problems, and the staff were friendly. COVID precautions were in place, with spa visits limited to 45 minutes and a 15-minute cleaning break between families. Clarion 2 is a wonderful unit, and the complex has heated garages, a nice pool, spa, and fire pit between the buildings. The view is partly blocked, though pretty much every condo in steamboat has the same situation. It’s easy to get in and out of the complex, and close enough to the highway to reach Steamboat Springs quickly.

Steamboat is great, but don’t stay here. I spent Christmas at Cambridge III, and it’s definitely not a luxury place. The apartment wasn’t clean or nice, and the whole building seems old and poorly cared for. The elevator and common areas smelled really unpleasant. Parking was a nightmare, with too few spaces even for renters. To get out of the garage, you have to pull an old tennis ball, and there aren’t even sensors. The TV was some 30-inch-something TLC, one of the cheapest brands, and the towels felt like sandpaper. The host made a point of telling us not to take them to the pool. They sucked. Justin’s standards seemed low when he called the shower gel and shampoo “high-end,” then we found Dove products in the shower. The worst part was probably the host. I usually avoid leaving bad reviews unless they’re deserved, and this one is. He was rude, unfriendly, and unaccommodating. One guest had a service animal, which legally isn’t a pet, but after we left he tried to charge us an extra $350 for having a pet because of our service dog. Luckily Airbnb was on our side.

There’s plenty of room in these condos, even for a family of five. It’s very close to the ski resort, and the provided shuttle is really convenient. I’d highly recommend it!
