Torian Plum by Wyndham Vacation Rentals

We had a perfect family stay at Torian Plum Plaza and are already planning another. The location made it easy to walk to restaurants, shops, and live entertainment on the plaza. We especially liked Slopeside. Our son spent time at the pool and all three hot tubs, while we used the fitness center every day. It had a good range of equipment, including free weights and a treadmill. We cooked at least twice a day, and the kitchen really was well appointed, with everything from measuring cups to pots and pans. There was seating at both the table and breakfast bar. The living room furniture was comfortable, and we played games on the balcony. The condo was bright, clean, and inviting when we arrived. Booking for four days in July 2023 was quick and easy, and I received the information we needed on time. I felt ready for check-in, which went smoothly. Brad greeted us at the desk and was welcoming and informative. Opening the door to a new place is always a bit of a surprise, and our first word here was “Wow.” 10/10, couldn’t have been happier.

This condo’s a good fit for a family of three. The layout worked for us, and our kid loved the pool after a day on the slopes. There were useful kitchen extras like spices, pots and pans, a crockpot, and blenders. The washer, dryer, and dishwasher were quiet enough to run while we slept. The mountain access was great. It’s true ski in/ski out, with the Christi lift available for heading out in the morning, and an easy ride down the headwall run brings you right to the door at night. The equipment locker is huge, big enough for two snowboards, two adult skis, and one set of kids’ skis. A couple downsides: the bedroom is small, with little clothing storage, so unpacking wasn’t easy. Blackout curtains or shades would help too. Light from the hallway comes into the bedroom window and dining room, which made it hard to sleep.

I’ve been here for several ski trips, and the location is hard to beat. Cafes, bars, shops, and the SLOPE are only steps away. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the shuttle feels like having a chauffeur. Both the indoor and outdoor spas are clean and relaxing. The condos have what you need, from plenty of towels to kitchen gear, and the heat works great.

My only car broke down the day before my booking. I’m a grandma raising my twin granddaughters, and I don’t have much money, so I asked to cancel and get any kind of refund. They said no, and wouldn’t let me reschedule either. In all my years, I’ve never dealt with anyone who wouldn’t make an allowance for an emergency. I was told the owner would lose money. The booking came to $917, including $617 for the stay and another $300 for resort fees, cleaning fees, and so on. Horrible people to do business with.
