Big South Fork Trail Lodge Stearns

We stayed four days with our three dogs for a getaway, and it was a good motel for the price, including the dogs. The room was decent, better than most hotel rooms I've seen, and clean with a recently cleaned smell. The service was good too. The front desk woman, I think her name was Jess, was really nice and just a call away if we needed anything. Only downside was the shower head. It sprayed both you and the ceiling, and paint chips sometimes fell, though that's an easy fix. The hot water gets super hot fast, so be careful. Big South Forks is amazing for hiking.

I couldn't believe the renovations had made this look like a different place from the one I'd stayed in years ago. The rooms were beautiful, clean, and great, and I was glad there was a smart TV. Service was amazing too, everyone was friendly at check-in and checkout. They're doing a great job. Thanks for such a nice stay, looking forward to next time!

They're renovating this older hotel/resort, and the rooms are awesome. Ours had a kitchenette with two burners, microwave, fridge, coffee maker, and kitchen sink. The bathroom was a good size, and the room and beds were very nice. It's a really cool place, cute on the outside, and seems like a good spot for visiting Cumberland falls and other attractions in the area.

This was the worst motel I've stayed in. The Google page isn't accurate, the rooms were grossly dirty, and the front office alone would make customers run. We saw five cats, and the cat pee smell was sickening. Our sheets were stained and filthy, and the door looked like someone had kicked it in. We don't feel safe leaving our luggage here, so we're taking it with us during the day and looking at going to Monticello for the rest of the trip. I read reviews saying the owner won't refund you if you don't stay all the days you reserved. If I could give less than one star, I would. At least we'll have a story to tell.
