The Manor House has been restored beautifully, making it feel warm and cozy while still elegant. The grounds should be beautiful in season. Sandra was a terrific host, friendly, informative, and very accommodating. The room was fabulous, and there were good options for breakfast and dinner. I highly recommend staying here.

We’ve returned several times over the past 30 years and have never been disappointed. Sandra, the innkeeper, keeps this mountain B&B a delightful place for peace and quiet. Breakfast is included and personalized for guests, and on our recent Valentine's weekend visit they offered a superb dinner in-house. The inn is off I-81 between Staunton VA and Lexington VA. Nearby, there’s VMI, antique shopping, wineries, and the brewer Devils Backbone. A must-add to your fun excursions.

Sandra, the owner, made us a delicious breakfast each morning of our four-night stay, just how we liked it. The view of the valley at sunset from the Ivy cabin's front porch was gorgeous and peaceful, and my wife made plenty of use of the deck hot tub. Even when it rained one evening, she went out with an umbrella. For a quiet getaway with a gracious, attentive owner, this is the place. The cabins and manor house are both good options. We'll be back.

The room was spacious, and the bed was so comfortable we didn’t want to leave after our three-night stay. My husband and I found the breakfasts delicious and filling. Our time at The Steels Tavern Manor B& B was one of the most wonderful experiences we’ve had at a place like this. I’d give this five-star destination six stars!

The Sunset Cabin was quiet and comfortable, and we loved staying there. We had everything needed to cook in the kitchen, and the hot tub on the back deck was wonderfully relaxing. DEFINITELY planning another stay!
