Stephen and Stacey were the bright spot. Both were welcoming, helpful, and professional, and they deserve credit for how they treated me. The manager, Bach, was the opposite: dismissive, unwelcoming, and nonchalant, which made an already unpleasant stay worse. I spent a week here while my property management team worked on my home and paid $450 myself. The rooms and heavily worn linens feel extremely outdated. Housekeeping apparently won't service a room unless you stay 14 days, which seems absurd for the price. Based on my experience, I wonder whether many of the positive reviews are genuine. I wouldn't recommend staying here unless things improve significantly.

Steven and bach keep a great crew. They're professional, don't put things off, and get the job done. The place is clean and quiet, with restaurants and gas stations all around. This is my favorite hotel and main place to stay when I'm in Michigan. I've traveled for years, and I highly recommend extended stay America sterling hghts. SINCERELY, A VERY SATISFIED CUSTOMER!!!

At 3 a.m., people were able to get into my room, and I still haven't heard from anyone in corporate. All I've received are computer generated replies that mean nothing and make it look like the hotel is handling things. I want someone from corporate to contact me. In my opinion, this place needs to be audited and shut down. The rooms are dirty and not worth nearly $600 a week. Staff service is terrible. I found mold on the shower curtain and several outlets didn't work, among plenty of other problems. This is a sorry place.

I visited a friend who was staying there for a week. The hallways were dark, dirty, and had an ominous feel, and a few seedy-looking people were hanging outside. Even though it was in Sterling Heights, I felt I had to lock my car doors.

For the price, it's pretty decent. The annoying part is having to buy your own cooking utensils, silverware included.
