Baymont by Wyndham Ocala Suites

We had to book at the last minute because of a family emergency involving no electricity while we were visiting on vacation. The staff were very friendly. The only complaint was noisy guests above us. I’d also suggest adding a towel bar in the bathroom and offering more hot breakfast choices.

Krisya made check-in incredibly easy and was fantastic. The room was clean and had everything I needed. It’s a great hotel in a good location for the price, and I couldn’t have asked for more. I’m planning to stay again.

Our first night has gone well so far. The breakfast room is being renovated, but they’re offering a small grab-and-go breakfast, which was great. The room also has a stove, refrigerator, microwave, toaster, silverware, coffee, cups, and glasses, a really nice touch. The ladies at the front desk have been pleasant and helpful with information. We have two more nights here, so I’ll keep you updated.

I want to recognize the manager, who did everything possible to make our stay welcoming, safe, and comfortable. Even so, the hostility we experienced left us feeling we couldn’t safely remain there. I hope the discrimination, racism, and unprofessional conduct at this establishment are properly investigated. Until something meaningful is done, I won’t stay at any property connected with this owner or where this employee works. My children and I had been extending our stay because we wanted a smooth, safe transition for our family. We caused no problems, received no complaints, and treated the property and staff respectfully. Things changed after my spouse got a job at the property. Once the owner learned we were extending our stay, management abruptly told us we couldn’t remain. Given the timing, it felt targeted and discriminatory. A front desk employee named MISTIN seemed resentful because her husband had tried for the same position my spouse got but wasn’t qualified for. Her personal feelings created a hostile situation for our family. Most shocking, she called my spouse a racist slur, saying he was a “nasty n-word.” She is still employed there despite that hateful, unacceptable behavior.
