Central Tacoma Homestay -private room-

We stayed for nine days on our second visit, and it felt just like home again. The place is clean, safe, and secure, and Connor and Dale were friendly and helpful. It’s a relaxed place to come back to after a day out, with a lovely kitchen where we could cook and eat dinner. We’ll definitely return.

Dale & Connor have put so much care into making sure guests have a pleasant stay, and I really appreciated their hospitality. The room was pristine, beautifully furnished, and stocked with toiletries if needed. Everything you could want or need was ready for us to use. It felt as close to being at home as you can get. Looking forward to staying again soon!

The location was great, the house was organized, and our Mt. rainier bedroom was clean for our one-night stay. But the quiet-hours rule in the binder said 11pm, and that wasn’t respected. Someone upstairs kept running and stomping up and down the stairs while we were trying to sleep downstairs. There were three cats, but the noise sounded like a person, not cats walking or running around. It kept us awake, which is why I’m giving three stars. If the owners see this today, I hope they’ll remind whoever sleeps above the rainier room to consider the people downstairs.

I booked through Hopper, but when we reached the property there were no instructions, keypad code, or other way for us to get in. I called the owner for over half an hour and got no response. It was late and I was exhausted, so we had to get a car to another hotel and stay there. I couldn’t use the stay, through no fault of my own. After I posted an honest review, the owner suddenly contacted me and repeatedly accused me of ignoring earlier messages I never received. He wouldn’t refund me, but said I could use the nights on a future visit. He also asked me to delete my review because, he said, we’d resolved things, so I did. When I later tried to claim the promised stay, he ghosted me. Awful experience. Buyer beware. No refund or replacement, and he asked me to remove my honest review.
