Chocksett Inn and Restaurant

The bathroom fan was loud, and a scented diffuser would be a nice touch, which is why I’m giving it four stars. Still, we had a very pleasant two-night stay at the Chocksett Inn. The grounds are gorgeous, with a gazebo park, big displays of mums, and a back deck looking over a charming brook and bridge. The staff were amazing, the bed was huge, and there’s a ballroom and restaurant. It’s also handy for shopping and hikes. Thanks!

The room was comfortable for getting ready, even with five people, a makeup artist, and a hair stylist there with me. The beds were comfy too. I slept the night before my wedding, and my mom said the couch was comfortable even without pulling it out. My only complaint is that the rooms, especially the bridal suite, could use more light. There’s a better lit getting-ready room available for a small fee. We got married at Chocksett, and the ballroom is beautiful and neutral enough to suit any theme. Tianna, the event coordinator, and the whole staff were so accommodating. We had lots of personalized items, and they took care of everything. Being able to drop things off the week before took a lot of stress away. Service from the servers and bartenders ran smoothly, with no long bar line, and dinner went seamlessly. The food was as good as every tasting we’d had, which is saying a lot. It’s next level. This is also one of the few inns staffed around the clock.

The grounds are beautiful, and parking was plentiful. We heard so much about the restaurant, so it was disappointing to find it closed Sunday through Wednesday. Our room was spacious, the staff were gracious and helpful, and the shower had easy-to-adjust settings plus a fold-away seat. The place could use a spring cleaning, though. The grounds and room both need dusting and freshening.

A peaceful spot that’s still close to local attractions, Chocksett Inn at 59 Laurelwood Rd, Sterling, MA, was a relaxing place to stay. I found the staff friendly and accommodating, and the rooms clean, cozy, and equipped with what I needed. Free Wi-Fi and parking were convenient, whether for a short visit or a longer one. There’s a good range of free breakfast options, which was a nice way to start the day. It’s a charming 3-star hotel and seemed good value for the price. Its 4.4-star rating across 426 reviews suggests other guests appreciate the welcoming atmosphere and service too. I’d come back for another relaxing visit, whether travelling for business or leisure.
