Comfort Inn & Suites Danbury-Bethel

The breakfast was surprisingly good for hotel food. I'd go for the potatoes with scrambled eggs. The staff were great, especially Ray, V, Lesly, and George, who all made me feel at home. My room was cleaned thoroughly and on schedule, and there was always someone at the desk if I needed help. Sean runs a very professional hotel.

The room change after a car alarm blared for three hours only added to the frustration. We ended up on the fourth floor. In the first room, the bathroom was rusty and not as clean as it should've been, the water looked yellow, and a strong odor made it uncomfortable. There was also a steady smell of cigarettes and weed throughout the hotel. The outside door was broken, so people could enter without a key, and the hand sanitizer dispensers were empty. Some guests acted inappropriately. I saw someone take food that wasn't theirs, and others seemed to be struggling. There was yelling from another guest too, which felt unsettling, especially with children around. Basic breakfast items like waffles, milk, and white bread weren't available. I expected a much more pleasant stay. The hotel needs to improve the experience for its guests.

After a 1.5 hour flight turned into a 10 hours, multiple airport ordeal, and a 60 miles Lyft ride became a 3 hours freezing EV nightmare with low charge, I got in at 40 minutes after midnight. It was an icy winter night, I was freezing, and there was nowhere to buy food. Ray checked me in and offered to get something from the kitchen. I asked if he had ramen, and he immediately went to the shelf and brought me a cup. That was more than a cup of noodles, it was real kindness and customer service. The next morning he spotted me and warmly asked if I'd rested well. Thank you, Ray. Comfort Inn should be proud of you and promote you.

Ray and the rest of the staff made my stay memorable with attentive, welcoming service. The accommodations felt luxurious, and the location made it easy to explore. I had a spectacular visit at Comfort inn and can't wait to come back. Highly recommended!
